Hi,

Does anybody know what feature would be unavailable in SOGo 1.3.5a with
Debian's Cyrus IMAP 2.2 instead of the suggested 2.3 version?

I never used Cyrus before.

TIA,

Hi,

Cyrus is not the only one you can use. Dovecot runs quite good, Courier, I think, too.
If you are not familiar with cyrus, but another one, try that.
SOGo doesn't depends on a special IMAP-Server, it uses one, you have, but only for mails, nothing else.

Hi Martin,

I do use Courier Imap, but I'd like users to share their folders and I
understood it's easier in Cyrus.

But SOGo manual recommends Cyrus 2.3 or newer and Debian stable includes
Cyrus 2.2, that's why I suppose some feature may not work.

But folder sharing is not a feature of SOGo, but of IMAP (should be, some Server implements not all Features of IMAPv4 in a ... hm ... correct way)

IMHO Dovecot is a little bit easier than Cyrus on folder sharing, but maybe I know Cyrus not good enough.
Have a look: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SharedMailboxes

There has not been much change in the features used by SOGo between
Cyrus 2.2 and 2.3 so it does not matter.

Then you maybe should have a look at Dovecot. It's said to be easier
for the first go.
